We offer three specialized types of internships to provide hands-on exposure across the field of nutrition. Duration and content are tailored to the nature of each internship:

 
Clinical Nutrition Internship

A. Clinical Nutrition Internship

Duration: Up to 3 Months

Overview: A structured hospital-based internship designed to give students early exposure to real clinical settings.

Key Features:

  • Supervised hospital rotations.

  • Basic patient dietary assessment techniques.

  • Exposure to therapeutic diets (renal, cardiac, endocrine, etc.)

  • Observation of dietitian–patient counseling sessions.

  • Case documentation and reflection logs.

B. Community Nutrition Internship

Duration: 1 Month

Overview: Practical fieldwork involving population-based nutrition programs and public health campaigns.

Key Features:

    • Participation in community health outreach.

    • Nutrition education in schools, NGOs, or slum areas.

    • Health screenings, dietary surveys, and awareness sessions.

    • Working with vulnerable groups (pregnant women, elderly, children).

C. Food Service Internship

Duration: 1 Month

Overview: Exposure to the operational side of institutional food services in hospitals, hostels, and industrial kitchens.

Key Features:

      • Meal planning for patient trays and bulk cooking.

      • Kitchen hygiene and quality control procedures.

      • Menu evaluation based on dietary needs.

      • Inventory and portion control basic.

Target Audience: Fresh graduates of Human Nutrition & Dietetics (HND)

Time Line : Biannual (January & July)

Dietetics Duration: 6 Months (Full-time)

Overview: A post-graduation foundation course structured like a nutrition house job, offering in-depth training in all major clinical departments.

Key Features:

  • Rotational postings in gastroenterology, gynecology, pediatrics, endocrinology, nephrology, surgery, ICU, etc.

  • Daily interaction with clinical staff and dietitians.

  • Active participation in clinical rounds, patient diet planning, and nutrition follow-ups.

  • Comprehensive logbook, evaluation, and certification.

  • Builds readiness for clinical roles or postgraduate specialization.

Target Audience: Graduates of HND, MBBS, Pharm-D, Nursing, or Allied Health Fields 

Time Line :  Annual 

Duration: 1 Year (2 Semesters)

Overview: An intensive, academically rigorous diploma combining theory with practice. The program deepens understanding of clinical nutrition and offers departmental specialization in the second semester.

Program Structure:

  • Semester 1: Core coursework covering advanced clinical nutrition, therapeutic diets, research methods, and nutritional assessment

  • Semester 2: Clinical specialization (student selects one department, e.g., Oncology, Endocrinology, Pediatrics, Gastroenterology, etc.)

Key Features:

  • Mentored by expert clinical dietitians and medical doctors.

  • Assigned to one department for immersive practical training.

  • Research project and case presentations.

  • Final evaluation and diploma award.
